Youth Time International Movement is inviting young social entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders around the world, to apply for the Youth Global Forum Amsterdam 2019, which will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 2 to 6 December 2019. They can apply as Participants or Project Presenters, to discuss the topic: ‘’At the Crossroads: Industry 5.0 vs Inclusive Development: Where is the future’’? Over the course of the Youth Global Forum these 2 ideals will be discussed, and a diverse range of field experts and industry leaders will help to equip the youths with the necessary tools to achieve success. More than 100 participants, experts and trainers from all over the world are expected to attend the Forum.

A limited number of scholarships are available for the most outstanding young leaders who want to do good around the world, enriching the lives of those in need in their communities, but who cannot afford to attend the event. For those who do not qualify for the scholarships, participation will be partially funded.

Project Presenters will also get the opportunity to compete for the Youth Time Idea Grant, fully funded scholarships to study in leading business schools in Europe and South-East Asia, and paid internship.

Applicants have to indicate their preference among the following topics, for the Youth Global Forum Workshop:

  • Education
  • Internet of Things
  • New employment opportunities
  • Climate Change
  • Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Industry 5.0
  • Machine Learning


Those who receive the scholarships will get to attend and participate in the Youth Global Forum in Amsterdam with all flights, food and accommodation expenses being paid for.

For those who are unable to qualify for the scholarships, participation will still be partially funded, as the complete program, cultural activities and official dinners are covered by Youth Time International Movement. However, they will have to pay for their own travel expenses as well as a registration fee.

Basic Participants will take part in educational and interactive talks and become inspired through sessions conducted by distinguished, honorable guests. They will gain valuable new skills, knowledge and experiences that will help them in their  future entrepreneurial and professional endeavors. They will also have the opportunity of meeting with 100 like-minded people from across the globe and network with professionals in the fields of business, entrepreneurship, finance, science, technology and education.

Project Presenters will also get the opportunity to present their projects with the chance of competing for the Youth Time Idea Grant of €10,000, 2 fully funded scholarships to study on Bachelors or Masters program in Zagreb School of Business (Croatia) and IPMI International Business School (Indonesia). A paid Internship at the International Youth Society Of Eco Friendly Renewable Technology (India) will be offered to 1 of the Youth Global Forum attendees. Project Presenters will get to work on their project proposal with the supervision of an expert (in setting up business initiatives) before the event.

In addition, all attendees will benefit from the rich cultural exchange program which includes trips to see some of Amsterdam’s most iconic attractions; official welcome and closing dinners, as well as the projects awarding ceremony in special stunning spots in Amsterdam.


Eligible applicants are youths aged 20 to 35, of any nationality. They should be Masters or PhD students, social entrepreneurs, young professionals, or persons working at or with startup incubators and/or accelerators. Applicants have to be proficient in English.

In their application, candidates have to submit their plan to solve a significant social issue that is affecting their local community at the moment. These could be in the field of poverty, bullying, equality, education, etc., and there are various forms of social issues that can negatively impact communities around the world.

Applicants for the Youth Global Forum Scholarship have to write a short essay (minimum 1500 words) and answer the following questions:

  • What is a key social issue that is affecting their local community?
  • How is this affecting the people in the local community?
  • Describe a plan to solve this issue, with specific attention to the following: 1) Who needs to be involved and how (local governments, institutions, businesses etc.). Give examples on who and how a person and/or organisation can have a positive involvement; 2) What changes need to be made from the current setup; 3) Think outside the box, as well as inside; 4) Will attending the Youth Global Forum help them solve their identified social issue? If so, how? 5) Try and relate their solution to the theme of the Forum: ‘Industry 5.0 vs Inclusive Development’.

Two recipients of the scholarship will be chosen to attend the Youth Global Forum as Participants, whilst 1 person will receive the scholarship to attend as a Project Presenter, where he/she will be invited to present his/her proposal as part of the Project Presenters Competition.

The maximum amount of accepted entries for the scholarship competition is 200 applications.
