Kiva are inviting people looking to begin a career in international development, microfinance or non-profits, to apply for its 6-month internship program commencing 15 July 2019 and ending 31 December 2019. Most Kiva internships are full-time, 5 days per week, 6-month commitments.

Most internships are based out of Kiva’s office in San Francisco, CA. Several internships may also be available in Kiva’s offices in San Jose (CA), Portland (OR), Chicago (IL), or New York City (NY). Interns are placed with the following teams based on their strengths, skills and career goals:

  • Program Management
  • Marketing
  • Community Support
  • Development
  • Impact Investments

Kiva Interns will partake in educational, social, and professional development workshops and events that help to accelerate their professional growth while learning about Kiva and the non-profit, technology, and microfinance sectors.

Kiva Internships are unpaid, but a modest monthly stipend of US$1000/month is provided to help offset living expenses. Kiva can arrange with academic institutions to authorize academic credits for the work.

Kiva does not provide financial reimbursement or sponsorship for international visas.
