The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) is inviting nominations for Young Gender Justice Activists – an award recognising young activists who have done exceptional work in the field of reconciliation. The theme for the award in 2017 is “Achieving Gender Justice & Reconciliation” and IJR will give out awards to 10 young activists who are doing exceptional work in the gender justice field in Africa.

Winners of the awards will be profiled in IJR’s annual Newsletter, digital media networks as well as its database for further engagements and possible collaborations.

Nominees must be young people doing exceptional Gender Justice work in Africa, who are between the ages of 18 and 35. Nominations must be accompanied by evidence that shows the gender justice work has been carried out – in the form of reports, photos, videos, articles, social media pages, and/or links to the aforementioned.

Nominations are to be done online by 30 August 2017.
