Type of Funding
The University of Edinburgh is inviting students from eligible developing countries, who wish to undertake postgraduate Human Medical programmes commencing September 2018, at the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine of the School of Biomedical Sciences, to apply for the Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarship for AY 2018-2019. Two scholarships are available for postgraduate full-time Masters (1 year) on-campus study for the following eligible programmes:
- MSc (by Research) Biomedical Sciences (Life Sciences)
- MSc (by Research) Cardiovascular Biology
- MSc Human Anatomy
- MSc (by Research) Integrative Neuroscience
- MMedSci (by Research) Medical Sciences
- MPH Public Health
- MSc (by Research) Reproductive Sciences
- MSc Science Communication and Public Engagement
The 1-year scholarship is valued at £21,200, which covers tuition fees of up to £21,200, and any surplus will be paid as a stipend.
Applicants must be from eligible developing countries (see the Official Website for eligible countries) who have been offered a place on 1 of the above-listed eligible Human Medical programmes and who have firmly accepted the offer or who are intending to. They should intend to return to the developing world on completion of their studies where their work and furthered medical studies will benefit the area. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.
