The City of Peace Osnabrück and the Felix Schoeller Group, which is headquartered in Osnabrück, are inviting entries for the German Peace Prize for Photography for 2019. The German Peace Prize for Photography will honor works that conceptually interpret the topic of “Peace” by means of photography.
For this competition, peace may be broadly defined. For instance, entries could express peace between peoples, peaceful coexistence in a nation or a family, or the inner peace of individuals. There are no limitations set with regard to the photographic genre. The photographs submitted could be, for instance, journalistic works or portraits, landscapes, architecture, or freestyle/conceptual photography.
The German Peace Prize for Photography is a special entry category within the framework of the Felix Schoeller Photo Award competition.
The winner of the German Peace Prize for Photography will receive a cash prize of €10,000. The winner and the nominees will also receive an invitation to attend the formal award ceremony on 19 October 2019 in Osnabrück. The winning entry and the work of the nominees will subsequently be presented to a wider audience in a special, separate exhibition in Osnabrück’s Museum Quarter.
Professional photographers around the world are invited to enter their portfolios depicting their interpretation of the various different aspects of peace.
Entries are to be submitted by 31 May 2019.
