The Climate Institute offers internships at its headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as Virtual Internships for those unable to relocate to Washington, DC. The Climate Institute is currently accepting applications for a Research Intern for its Summer Internship. The Research intern will conduct research and analyse research for projects supporting companies and initiatives; develop action plans and implementation strategies for partners; draft documents for Climate Institute partners; and contact and interview field experts to inform Climate Institute objectives. The Research Interns will be assigned projects under Climate Institute’s initiatives, namely, Clean and Secure Grid Initiative, Global Sustainable Energy Islands Initiative, Innovative Solutions Initiative, Climate Education, and Center for Environmental Leadership Training (CELT).
The virtual internships are for self-directed and motivated individuals with strong research and writing skills, or foreign language translation skills, who will work from home and communicate through email. Projects are tailored to each intern’s interests and qualifications, but generally will contribute to website or newsletter content.
Interns are not remunerated.
Applicants must be bright and enthusiastic students or recent graduates. The Research Intern must have strong research and analytical skills, possess the ability to express researched information into summarized documents, be able to work in a team-oriented environment and need to have writing skills.
