The Berggruen Institute is calling for nominations for the 2018 Berggruen Prize, an award that recognizes humanistic thinkers whose ideas have both intellectual depth and long-term social and practical value across nations and cultures.
The Prize is awarded yearly in December, with a ceremony at the New York Public Library.
The winner will receive a US$1 million award.
Nominees should be thinkers whose ideas have helped people find direction, wisdom, and improved self-understanding in a world being rapidly transformed by profound social, technological, political, cultural, and economic change.
Nominations are to be done online by 30 April 2018.
