The Berggruen Institute is calling for nominations for the 2019 Berggruen Prize, an award that recognizes humanistic thinkers with major achievements in advancing ideas that shape the world and whose ideas have both intellectual depth and long-term social and practical value across nations and cultures.
The Prize is awarded yearly in December, with a ceremony at the New York Public Library.
The winner will receive a US$1 million award.
Nominees should be thinkers whose ideas have profoundly shaped human self-understanding and advancement in a rapidly changing world.
