Description

The Spark of Hope Foundation is inviting bright young women from the Global South, especially in regions that are in turmoil or remote regions, to apply for the Spark of Hope Foundation Scholarships, for studies at the Bachelors, Masters, Professional and PhD levels. The scholarships aim to lift these young women, their families and their communities out of the cycle of poverty and despair. By such empowerment, local communities in the Global South can be strengthened.

Full scholarships at the Bachelors, Masters, professional and Doctorate levels will be awarded.

Eligibility

Applicants have to be young women from the Global South with leadership potential but who lack the financial means to afford a quality university-level education. They have to be female high achievers who have the English proficiency required by the educational institution to which they are applying. They need to have achieved a high school average of 80% or above and are individuals passionate about making the world a better place. Only those with low family income will be considered.

Scholars must complete their university program, failing which they have to reimburse all tuition benefits to the Foundation. They need to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 out of 4.00 for continuation of the scholarship each semester. They also have to maintain full-time student status each semester. All scholars have to endeavor to participate in college life, activities, and events both in and out of college.
