Type of Funding
The University of Toronto provides financial support to refugee students who wish to apply for study in an undergraduate or graduate program at the University, through the Scholars at Risk Award Program. This program was initially established in response to the Syrian crisis which highlighted the growing refugee population worldwide.
This is an admission scholarship, and students will need to submit a separate application for it. They will not be automatically considered as part of their application for the program of study.
The scholarship award is $10000.
All refugee students seeking admission to the University of Toronto in an undergraduate or graduate program of study are eligible.
The completed application form, which is available online, must be sent to the University by 1 June 2018.
