Type of Funding
The University of Exeter is offering Postgraduate Taught Global Excellence Scholarships for AY 2019/20, for studies in the following schools and colleges:
- Business School
- College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Science
- College of Humanities
- College of Life and Environmental Sciences
- College of Social Science & International Studies and
- Medical School.
Business School: There are an unlimited number of £5,000 awards for international applicants to any Business School MA / MSc / MBA programme who achieve the equivalent of a UK first class Bachelor degree. Forty £5,000 awards are available to international applicants for MSc Financial Analysis and Fund Management, MSc International Management, MSc Economics, MSc Economics and Econometrics or MSc Behavioural Economics and Finance who achieve the equivalent of a UK upper second class Bachelor degree. The scholarships are for 1 year.
College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Science, College of Humanities, College of Life and Environmental Sciences, College of Social Science & International Studies and Medical School: International students will receive £5,000 as a reduction in first year international tuition fees. The scholarships are for 1 year.
Home/EU students will receive Postgraduate Global Excellence Scholarships worth £1000 payable as a reduction in first year Home/EU tuition fees for eligible programmes in the Medical School.
The scholarships will be automatically allocated to outstanding applicants for full-time study, applying for the first time for 2019 entry (deferred offer holders or applicants applying for deferred entry are not eligible). A separate application is not required. Academic merit is the sole determinant in identifying potential scholars. Typically, applicants with a Bachelors degree equivalent to at least a UK upper second class award will qualify for consideration.

Scholarships will offered on a rolling basis until 30 June 2019 at the discretion of the University. As there are a limited number of scholarships available, early submission the postgraduate application is encouraged. There is no separate application process for the scholarship.
