Type of Funding
Open Society Foundations is inviting students from all over the world to apply for the Masters and doctoral scholarships at Central European University (CEU) for studies in AY 2019/2020. CEU is accredited in the United States and Hungary, and is supported by the Open Society Foundations.
The CEU Master’s Scholarship covers up to 100% of the tuition fee, health insurance and also includes a monthly stipend of HUF 96,000 (about €310) or HUF 50,000 (about €160) to assist with living costs. Single or shared housing in the CEU Residence Center may also be offered to selected candidates.
The CEU Master’s Tuition Award covers up to 100% of the tuition fee as well as health insurance. In some cases, housing at the CEU Residence Center may also be awarded.
The CEU Doctoral Scholarship covers the full cost of tuition and health insurance, complete with a monthly stipend of HUF 242,000 (about €780) to assist with housing and living costs. Economics and Business Administration PhD students receive a monthly stipend of HUF 275,000 (about €890).
Applicants from any country are eligible to apply.

For those who wish to apply for the scholarships, applications for the Masters or doctoral programme must be done by 31 January 2019.
