Description

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Co-operative Research Programme (CRP) on biological resources in agriculture is inviting research scientists from participating CRP Member Countries working in agriculture, forestry or fisheries to apply for 2018 funding for a conference, workshop, or symposium, etc which will take place in a member country of the CRP.

Consideration for support is given to scientific meetings ranging from small, focused workshops to larger conferences or congresses. The aim of the Conference Sponsorship scheme is to inform policy makers, industry and academia of current and future research, scientific developments and opportunities in these areas. Usually up to 10 conferences are supported per year.

Benefits

A Travel Lump Sum will be given for invited speakers from OECD participating Member Countries as well as for a relevant Scientific Advisory Body (SAB) member. This includes: travel to and from the Conference, accommodation, meals and miscellaneous expenses for the invited speakers and the SAB member(s).

CRP funding usually covers a maximum of 12 to 15 speakers. In addition, a contribution of €3,050 towards the publication of the proceedings of the Conference will be given.

Eligibility

Only scientists who are citizens or permanent residents of participating member countries of the CRP are eligible for support (see the Official Website for list of member countries). Applications should fit into 1 of the 3 following research themes: 1) Managing Natural Capital for the Future  2) Managing Risks in a Connected World, or 3) Transformational Technologies and Innovation.
