Type of Funding
The IMD Business School in Switzerland annually supports about 25% of the MBA class through IMD scholarships. IMD is inviting citizens of developing countries who wish to undertake the 1-year MBA program commencing January 2019, to apply for the Emerging Market Scholarships. Scholarships are granted subject to acceptance to the MBA program and applications for MBA Financial Aid must be supported by yearly proof of salary documents, tax return form and the latest bank account statements.
The scholarship award ranges from CHF 20,ooo to CHF 60,ooo per person. Those selected for several scholarships will be awarded the one with the highest financial benefit.
Applicants for the MBA program must possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent from an accredited institution and have sat for GMAT or GRE. They need to have at least 3 years of full-time work experience, and a strong command of written and spoken English, as well as proficient in 1 other language. Typically, 80% of IMD’s MBA applicants are between 28 and 32 years old and the majority have worked outside their home country and speak several languages. IMD is looking for candidates who are smart, with strong previous experience and achievements, and have the drive to pursue the journey to the end and contribute to the enriching class experience.
Those applying for the scholarship must be citizens of developing countries with good academic results and GMAT score. They need to have strong reference letters and can demonstrate steady career progression.
Applications for admission to AY 2019 MBA class must be done online, by either 1 February 2018, 1 April 2018, 1 June 2018, 1 August 2018 or 1 September 2018. Scholarship applications are to be submitted via email at the time of application of admission.
