Bioversity International is inviting young graduates and undergraduate students to apply for the Bioversity International Internships, to help them acquire direct practical experience in their field of specialization. While the internships will help interns obtain a better understanding of Bioversity and the CGIAR system, they will also provide Bioversity with the assistance of outstanding young students specializing in fields relevant to Bioversity’s activities, at Bioversity’s headquarters and country offices. Normally, interns will be employed for a maximum period of 1 year, with a possible extension for a further period of up to 6 months.
Bioversity International is a member of the CGIAR Consortium, which is a worldwide partnership comprising 15 Centers carrying out agricultural research for development, to tackle poverty, hunger and major nutrition imbalances, and environmental degradation.
They may be paid a modest stipend, to assist them to cover their essential maintenance during the time of their internship.
Applicants for internships must either be currently enrolled in a university or graduate school and have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate studies, or have completed their university studies within the past 6 months. Interns will not be eligible for employment as regular staff members during the internship or for a period of 6 months thereafter.
Applications are to be done online by 26 July 2018.
