The Audi Environmental Foundation is offering 15 scholarships entitled the Audi Environmental Foundation Scholarship, for environmentally conscious youths with leadership qualities to attend the One Young World Summit 2019 in London, United Kingdom, from 22 to 25 October 2019. Audi actively supports research into new technologies and scientific methods for a livable future, with the intention of contributing to environmental protection and to creating and promoting ways of behaving sustainably.
The Foundation focuses in particular on promoting and developing environmentally compatible technologies, measures for environmental education and protecting the natural necessities of life for humans, animals and plants.
In addition to participating in the One Young World Summit, Audi Scholars will join an exclusive pre-event where they will connect with fellow innovators from the programme as well as experts from the Audi Environmental Foundation.
Audi Scholars will gain free access to the One Young World Summit 2019 in London and their costs of travel to and from London (economy flight) will be covered. Hotel accommodation in London between 20 and 25 October 2019 will be provided. They will participate in the pre-event by Audi AG and the Audi Environmental Foundation on 21 October 2019. Catering during their stay, which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, will be provided, as will transport between the pre-event by Audi, Summit accommodation and the Summit venue. They will also receive Summit hand-outs and supporting materials.
Eligible applicants are youths aged between 18 and 30 years, working for or are involved with non-governmental organisations, social enterprises or community based organisations. They could also be youths making an impact on environmental topics. Applicants should be individuals eager to join an international discussion of issues like sustainability and the environment and who wish to build an international network and gain insight into how other people think.
Although most delegates are between the age of 18 and 30, the One Young World team will consider applications from those who are older than 30, pending demonstration of appropriate personal impact, initiative, and willingness to engage. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for environmental issues, impact and capacity for innovation in this field and leadership.
