Description
SOAS, University of London, is making available 3 Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarships sponsored by the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust, to African nationals who are resident in Africa, who wish to undertake the following full-time taught Masters courses at SOAS in AY 2018/2019: MA African Studies, MA International Studies and Diplomacy, or MA Social Anthropology of Development.
SOAS is the only Higher Education institution in Europe specialising in the study of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East.
Benefits
Each Ferguson Scholarship covers full tuition fees and provides for a maintenance grant of £7,000. In addition, International Student’s House (ISH) provides free accommodation and a food scholarship covering 3 meals a day.
Eligibility
Applicants must be nationals of and resident in an African country, hold an undergraduate degree at the first class level, and possess an offer of admission to pursue 1 of the abovementioned eligible programmes. Priority may be given to applicants with unconditional offers. Applicants must meet the English language condition of their offer of admission as soon as possible but no later than 1 June 2018.
Application
Applications for the Masters programme are recommended to be done online 6 weeks before 9 January 2018. Applications for the Ferguson Scholarships are to be done online by 20 February 2018.
