Type of Funding
The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) is inviting individuals and organisations that wish to conduct or attend events that directly benefit international agricultural research, to apply for Launch Funding for 2018 (previous known as events funding).
Launch Funding aims to develop knowledge, skills and capacity required to build productive partnerships to benefit the effectiveness of international agricultural research.
ACIAR, an official arm of the Australian Government’s Official Development Assistance Program, directs activities to developing countries in 5 regions: Papua New Guinea and Pacific island countries; East Asia; Mekong countries and China; South and West Asia; Sub-Saharan Africa; and Middle East and North Africa.
Not specified. Funded activities have to commence after 1 July 2018 and complete by 30 June 2019.
In line with ACIAR’s Gender Equity Policy, funding applications need to ensure equitable voice and access for both men and women. Funding applications should also promote the work and role of ACIAR.
Applicants must demonstrate how attendance at an event would lead to the development of skills and knowledge to improve international agricultural research; or how it could develop or maintain, research partnerships to improve international agricultural research. The event should align with ACIAR’s Ten-Year Strategy and Gender Equity Policy (see the Official Website for details) and achieve communication and outreach outcomes for ACIAR.
Applications are to be sent via email by 14 May 2018.
